Sessions & Therapies

Types of Sessions
I offer both face-to-face and online sessions. Face-to-face sessions have been proven to be more effective for attachment and relationship difficulties. During the first four consultation sessions, we can decide whether the planned structure suits you.
All consultation sessions for children under 14 are face-to-face. In certain circumstances, I might recommend we start with DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) to learn emotional regulation and to sit with disturbing thoughts without acting on them before beginning Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Therapy requires both a financial and a time commitment. For busy families and working professionals, I can arrange a DBS-checked driver, booked with two days' notice, to transport you to and from the sessions for a local fee.
First sessions and ending therapy
Committing to the first four sessions is essential to decide if we are a good match. At the end, we review together and agree on how to proceed. These four sessions are paid. I offer both short-term (24 sessions) and long-term (open-ended) psychotherapy.
You can end therapy whenever you choose. I recommend eight sessions before deciding when to end, to explore patterns and plan an ending. If I have to end our sessions for emergency reasons, a trusted registered colleague will contact you, and together we will explore how to proceed.

I offer psychotherapy for adults experiencing difficult life transitions, anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties or challenges with identity and belonging. Therapy can help you understand and change unhealthy patterns, work through experiences of childhood or ongoing abuse, and support recovery from trauma, addiction and other difficult experiences. My approach may include psychodynamic psychotherapy alongside somatic therapy or trauma-informed CBT, particularly for those who feel stuck despite previous therapy. I also provide practical support for men navigating stress, anger and relationship challenges.
Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Trauma recovery using psychodynamic psychotherapy paired with somatic therapy or trauma-informed CBT for adults who feel stuck despite years of therapy.

All psychological therapies are child-led. Therapy takes place through the child’s interests, such as play, drawing, or LEGOs. I hold an initial meeting with parents to explore your concerns. During the course of treatment, I provide check-in meetings to think together about your child.
I offer psychotherapy for children and young people who are struggling with their emotions, anxiety, communication or changes in their lives. Sessions support with emotional regulation, help children understand and express their feelings, and provide a safe space to work through trauma and difficult experiences.
